Recently I had family session at Camden Park near Fearrington Village in Pittsboro, North Carolina. I met the Albouys, a beautiful French family that had come together for the Christmas holidays. Some of the family members had just flown into the area from France. There is nothing quite so joyful as a family reunion after a long period of long distance separation. I enjoyed the pleasure of experiencing Ms. Albouy’s happiness to have her family together during this family photo session at Camden Park.
We gathered at the beautifully landscaped Camden Park in the middle of the community by Fearrington Village in Pittsboro, North Carolina just south of Chapel Hill. I thought it would be a great place for a session because of the trees, the tall grasses on one side of the creek that connects the ponds, and the easy proximity to dining in Fearrington Village for afterwards if the family wanted. Camden Park lies in a quieter side of the Triangle and offered an easy route from the Apex area.
My favorite part of this session was found in the tall weedy grass near the creek on the western side of the park that glowed in the soft light of the setting sun. If you are a photographer and curious, there is a gravel path that wounds around the park that offers a small amount of neutral ground reflection light when used.
Though I am located in Wilmington, NC, I enjoy traveling to the Chapel Hill area with my mom. My mom comes from the Chapel Hill area and every visit brings her delight. Feel free to contact me. I am happy to make this drive.
